Seeing that it’s been a year since you posted this, how has it held up in the elements? I’m curious about how much the sun will cause it to fade or crack.

I just did my hub assembly and the best way I figured out was to put your tire back on finger tight and drop it till the tire is on the ground so the weight of the truck holds the wheel in place

Was going to add...as cheap as these templates are you could maybe double or even triple them up to give the bit something a little more sturdy to ride against.

I'm making my first wavy flag as soon as I get the templates and probably can only use a Dremel with all the curves but on a straight piece Im just going to use a Dremel to cut in the lines then use a 1/8th inch spiral up cut bi in my trim router to hog out the centers, just be sure to match the depth.

It looks like you’re putting pressure on your sander? I might be wrong but from the way you held it with you wants pressing down doesn’t seem the right way for an orbital sander. You’re supposed to let it sand without any pressing pressure. I’ve learned years ago when I had to buy a couple of them first lol. Again I might be wrong but i thought I’d share in case you didn’t know. Great video!

Why do you need to sand the already poures plastic? I assume that's not actually necessary?

Great idea and great job of directing. I don't burn but I have scraps of PVC boards that I can use. I make most of my flags and crosses using PVC because I like the bright white it shows after using the Dremel to cut the stars. I also have to use a back board since glue won't work on PVC. Looking forward to doing some of these for gifts, thanks again.
